System Dashboard < 2.8.15 – Unauthenticated Stored XSS | CVE 2024-11107 | Plugin Vulnerabilities

Description

The plugin does not sanitise and escape some parameters when outputting them in the page, which could allow unauthenticated users to perform Cross-Site Scripting attacks.

Proof of Concept

1. As an admin, go to https://example.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=system-dashboard
2. Enable the "Page Access Logs"
3. As an unauthenticated user, run the following command: curl -X GET 'https://example.com/?test="><script>alert(1)</script>'
4. As an admin, view the page access logs and the XSS alert will display.
